Patient Accounts Systems Project Analyst

Managed projects for new system enhancements, application and hardware implementations. Project management activities include: vendor selection, project plan development, acquiring and managing resources, and documenting and reporting project status to varying levels of stakeholders. Worked with various ancillary departments to interface their billing processes such as the Pharmacy, OR, and Radiology departments. Served as system access coordinator for numerous internal and external applications for over 150 users and troubleshoot users’ system related issues. Facilitated HIPPA compliant activities such as file receipt and transmission, auditing of systems’ activity logging, and maintaining the charge master file which included: charge validations, testing, and compliance audits to ensure accurate billing of over 9,000 technical charges.   • Participating as a team lead on implementation of new department application, Soarian Financials, which will impact 200+ direct users and various ancillary systems center-wide.
  • Designed, developed, and implemented the departmental intra-net website which facilitates the work functions of 150+ users including patient inquiry staff and hospital administration.
  • Development of new Payment Posting application module which enabled users to post payments in a completely paper-less environment and allowed management to automate work distribution and track real-time productivity.
  • Implemented Tissue Tracking application which allowed users to track tissue inventory and implant data electronically and meet JHACO requirements.
  • Managed the redesign of Patient Billing statements to provide a more user friendly statement; which reduced call center volume by 25% in the first 6 months of implementation.
  • Managed a project to interface SoftMed, the medical records coding application, and Invision, the patient accounting and billing application, to ensure proper coding on patient bills and meet Medicaid and other regulatory billing requirements.
